The Trees and I, 2025

Photography Series

The Trees and I (2025) projects 35mm black-and-white film footage of branches recorded in Italy directly onto a human figure. Through layered projection and archival printing, the series examines the physical contours of the body as it merges with organic silhouetted forms, exploring the boundary between skin, shadow, and landscape.

A figure with long dark hair faces the camera, bare shoulders crossed by shadows of leafless tree branches, in front of a pale sky and bare trees.
