Roee Morag is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist working across painting, experimental photography, video, and sound. His practice examines how visual memory can be fragmented and reimagined. In Painted Memories (2025), archival family photographs are projected onto abstract painted surfaces, letting photographic memory dissolve into painterly gesture. His photographic work uses film, digital cameras, scanners, and post-processing to fragment and reconstruct visual narratives. Recent work includes All Beware the Beast (2026), a stop-motion animation made during a residency in Rome that uses rapid, flickering linework that shifts between figuration and abstraction, mirroring the cultural and psychological overload of contemporary visual media.

His work has been featured in Spectaculum Magazine and Edge of Humanity Magazine, and exhibited in group exhibitions at Koool (Tel Aviv), Golden Duck Gallery (Budapest), and Pandora Art Gallery (Berlin). He has also been selected for Art Mag ’26 and 100 Emerging Artists | Torino Art Week, with work to be exhibited during DIFFUSISSIMA® in Turin from 24 October to 1 November 2026. Forthcoming exhibitions include Drawing Now (2026) and Contemporary Landscape (2027) at CICA Museum (South Korea). He is based between Tel Aviv and Rome.
